Who We Are

We’re the Health Advocacy Service – a team of six staff and over 70 volunteers and sessional workers from a variety of backgrounds, passionate about your right to health and wellbeing. Together, we speak over 30languages and reach over 3,000 local people every year.

Volunteers play a vital part in helping us ensure that everyone can access local services and improve their health and wellbeing. As a volunteer, you will use your language skills to help people to communicate their needs and access services to improve their health and wellbeing. You could also be involved in delivering health workshops to your community.

What will you get?

  • UK work experience in interpreting and bilingual advocacy
  • development of your communication and interpreting skills
  • access to additional training and resources
  • support to develop your CV and find employment
