In today’s world, having access to a computer can be really important. The internet is an increasingly useful resource for keeping in touch with loved ones who have moved away, or for keeping up to date with news and interests. If you’re 65+, living in Islington, find it difficult to get out of the house and looking to get connected or find out how to make more use of your computer, we can help.

We run computer support for older people in Islington where we’ll help you select a computer, set it up and deal with any challenges that arise.

Get help choosing a computer and setting it up

Our volunteers have the right IT/computer expertise to help you choose the best computer for your needs. We can visit you at home and help you select a computer and where to put it so it doesn’t get in the way.

New computers need to have software and hardware on them so they work properly and aren’t vulnerable to harmful viruses that can come from the internet. We know all the best ways to make sure your computer is ready for use, and is safe to use.

One-to-one training: get the most out of your computer

We give ongoing support until you’re confident using the computer on your own. We can show you where to find the websites you’ll enjoy, or how to use programs like Skype or messenger where you can talk to people over the internet!
