About us

During the current Covid-19 pandemic Manor Gardens has supported people online during lockdowns and face to face through activities and coffee mornings. We are committed to ensuring that no one is unsupported during this difficult time.

Our service staff are proactively keep in touch with clients and carry out welfare checks on those who can’t get out of the house. We are working in partnership with other voluntary organisations in Islington to support their clients in a similar way.

What we do

We are a health and wellbeing charity based in Upper Holloway in Islington. Our mission is to help people take action to change their lives for the better. Our services promote mental and physical health and wellbeing and increase social inclusion.

Our Services include:

Starting Well supports refugee and migrant families to access healthcare and give their children the best start in life.

Living Well enables all people in Islington@hree.com to receive support and advocacy for all aspects of their lives to improve their wellbeing, access local services and take an active part in local life. We also raise awareness of the issues surrounding FGM and support women affected by FGM with our therapeutic Dahlia groups.

Communities provides opportunties for local people to join in with activities, work with staff to improve their wellbeing and receive support for mental health issues. The team also breaks down the stigma around mental health by promoting good mental wellbeing.

Our Nurseries give children aged tow to five a better start in life by providing a stimulating learning environment. Our term-time only provision is based at Manor Gardens and year-round extended hours at Hornsey Road Children’s Centre.

We provide leadership and influencing for the local voluntary and community sector through the Health Exchange network, Islington Food Alliance and Time to Talk Hub.
