Our services

Our vision is to build strong communities where all people have good health, resilience and opportunity. We work with people to change their lives for the better. Our services promote mental and physical health and wellbeing and increase social inclusion.

Manor Gardens delivers a range of Living Well and Early Years Services to people who come to us for help and support to manage their own health and wellbeing and maximise their independence.

We work in partnership with individuals, communities and local voluntary and statutory services to identify gaps in provision and unmet need. Our services are diverse and relfect the great diversity of the communities we work with.

Our Centre lies at the heart of our community but our services reach out across North London and beyond.

Starting Well Services >

We enable mainly refugee and migrant families to access healthcare and give their children the best start in life through practical advice, advocacy, peer support and bilingual support.

Living Well Services >

We support people to access local services to improve their health and wellbeing by supporting them to sort out issues around housing, benefits, finances, immigration and disabilities. Some of this work is done by bilingual interpreters and advocates.

“When I got sick and couldn’t come to the activities, they called me and asked how I was doing. They are very friendly. When we have a problem, they try to help right away.” – Living Well Service User

FGM Programme >

Our pioneering work on FGM raises public awareness of illegal practices and provides individual support, therapeutic support and training for professionals

Support Through Food >

Manor Gardens strives to ensure access to healthy, sustainable and affordable food for all. We do this through chairing the Islington Food Partnership, supporting local grass-roots initiatives and by delivering a weekly food co-op in partnership with the Felix project.

Youth Work >

Manor Gardens delivers a youth work project for young people aged 11+ operating from the Andover Community Centre. Our youth provision is led by young people and includes a range of creative activities as well as the provision of healthy meals for young people.
