Early Intervention and Prevention

We stop problems from escalating by offering accessible, trauma informed, multilingual early help. Through our advocacy triage and casework led by lived experience, our partnership with Islington Council’s Access Hub, our wellbeing and inclusion activities, youth work, and targeted health information, residents get practical support quickly and avoid crisis. We work with people facing poverty, insecure housing, ill health, language barriers, and isolation; we connect them to entitlements, specialist services, and consistent community support.

“You’ve given me so much help and you’ve never made me feel guilty or pressured.”

“I hadn’t been out in weeks. I met my neighbours at the festival and now we’re friends.”

In 2024 to 2025 our advocacy offer supported over 1,160 residents across the borough in multiple languages. Our wellbeing groups reduced isolation and improved confidence for nearly 800 residents; youth workers stayed alongside young people at risk of exclusion so they could remain engaged in education and make safer choices. Cancer awareness sessions guided residents through screening and early detection.
