Youth Work

Our Youth Service is based on the Andover Estate, an estate where residents experience significant socio-economic deprivation and where young people are at high risk of gang violence and exploitation. We support young people aged 11 - 18 to stay engaged in education, build healthy relationships, and make positive choices. We offer targeted and open access work through one-to-one support, group sessions, educational workshops, and trips, delivered with partners including Early Help, Social Services, Targeted Youth Support, the Mayor’s Office, and Arsenal in the Community.

My brother is in prison. I don’t want to be like him. Sometimes it’s hard when people have an opinion of you. I’d like to be someone my smaller brother looks up to. When someone was trying to get me to sell stuff, I spoke with Lizzie and it got sorted, she spoke with my school. I’m glad the youth club is there.

Outcomes include sustained school attendance in cases at risk of exclusion, increased confidence and communication, and greater awareness of rights, consent, and emotional regulation.
