Hekate has over 20 years' experience of working on equalities and social justice in leadership positions for charities including Hestia, Barnardo’s and Rosa Fund. She has led national advocacy on FGM and modern slavery, including publishing a landmark police super-complaint on modern slavery and influencing national policy changes on FGM.
Her qualifications include a BSc in Biology from the University of Leeds, a MA in Environment and Politics from King’s College, and a postgraduate diploma in law from the University of Law.
